No Mow May Update 

 

The grass has now been collected from around the Hayricks and the Village Green, leaving a few designated areas for wild flowers.  

 

 

There are some encouraging results from in the areas that have been left unmown as the photographs within the following link indicate:-

The results should be even more interesting in subsequent years as specific areas have been prepared and sown with wild flower seeds.    

The third picture shows a local resident doing a sterling job watering the trees that were planted last autumn.   Sadly, one of the trees has been lost but this will be replaced in the autumn.

Additional watering sessions have been necessary in the prolonged dry spell and any resident wishing to volunteer to help with this task should contact the Clerk.  Any help will be greatly appreciated.
